2024

My identity for fictional brand Monticle emerged from a desire to express the industry in a more playful way, contrary to the stark visual conventions of the architectural world.

The modular logo ‘M’ uses blocks within a grid system to reflect the changing forms and contextual sensitivity of buildings.

The constructed and deconstructed application of the logo introduces moments of play and variety across various touchpoints – business cards, social media, reports, and signage. I chose a heritage colour palette to honour conservation efforts and humanise the repetition of the identity.
